Matthew 27:22 “Then what shall I do with Jesus, who is called Christ?”
In our walk with Jesus, who is called Christ, memories of people, places, churches, experiences sometimes “replay”, even years later. I am thinking right now of a man’s conversion testimony. I was a new believer, coming to know Jesus as Savior and Lord when I was 29 years old! I was in church on a Sunday evening. As he spoke of the many years he refused Jesus he kept saying, “I kept thinking if I said ‘yes’ to Jesus, He would send me to Africa.”
Now, I sat there thinking, “Really Lord? Is that how You work? Do You reach down, tap someone’s shoulder, and say, ‘You, My child, have been chosen to serve Me in…AFRICA!’ ” As I think about that again, I imagine our Lord smiling that evening. I imagine Him smiling and looking right at me…and saying, “Oh, yes, My child. You have no idea the plans I have for you. They are plans for your welfare, not calamity. To give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
