When Elisée was approaching 3 years of age, Patrice, Celine, Elisée and Rose moved to Ghana for Patrice to attend seminary. While they looked for housing, I stayed at the small hotel. One day on their return, Elisée hopped out of the car, turned the corner and said, “Grandma!” Without thinking, I replied: “Oh! I sokir!” (In Dagara that is “my heart”) In all the years that have followed, when I ask Elisée who is ‘my heart’…he answers “Ma nu” (I am!)
Psalm 17:8 “Guard me as the apple of Your eye, hide me in the shadow of Your wings.”
