Matthew 27:22 “Then what shall I do with Jesus, who is called Christ?”

Some will remember the account of the Samaritan woman in John chapter 4. “And from that city many of the Samaritans believed in Jesus (Who is called Christ) because of the word of the woman who testified.” John 4:39

In Matthew 16:13 we see Jesus (Who is called Christ) asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” In verse 15 Jesus (Who is called Christ) asked His disciples, “But Who do you say that I am?” In verse 16 Peter replies, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

And indeed we see in Revelation 12:10-11, “And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, ‘Now the salvation and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him (satan) because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.’ ”

Three biblical examples of the power of a verbal testimony. And what about us? When was the last time you/I proclaimed the saving and forgiving power of Jesus (Who is called Christ)?
