Elisée has an older brother named Narcisse. Narcisse is 13 years of age and has lived with me since the day he showed up at my door, mat in hand informing me he was going to live with me. He was 4 at the time. One day he came home at lunch break and was wearing a light jacket…which he had most obviously used as an eraser! I was frustrated and spoke of how diligently our friend from church had worked to wash his jacket just the day before. The following day at lunchtime, Narcisse approached me with his jacket in hand. “Look, Grandma,” he said to me,” my jacket is not soiled today”. My heart was warmed and I thought, “Oh! He so desperately wants to please me.” Mmmm and IMMEDIATELY the Lord spoke to my heart, “And when was the last time you desperately wanted to please ME?”
